Cool Tech for Wine Lovers

The holiday season is just around the corner, and there’s nothing more perfect than spreading some cheer with a glass of wine. As a tech expert, I’m excited to share some cool tech for wine lovers to enjoy during this joyous time of the year.

  1. Vivino

Known as “The Netflix of Wine,” Vivino is one of the most popular wine apps in the world. This robust app allows you to read others’ reviews and write your own to join 1.4 million other Canadians in their quest for good wine. With a full website and iOS and Android apps, you can easily find the best wine pairings for your meals and make purchases of well-reviewed wine from the app. You can even scan wine labels at the liquor board store and immediately find the reviews or have conversations with people around Canada about the merits of each bottle.

  1. Wine Subscriptions

If Vivino helps you find the right wine, Wine Subscriptions give you the option to try a variety of new ones.

Many online wine stores have capitalized on the idea of a wine subscription, but the Wine Collective claims to be Canada’s most popular option. Since 2009, Wine Collective has been helping people explore new wines and taste profiles without getting overwhelmed by selection. Essentially, when you sign up online, you can receive packages of two, four, or six bottles of curated wine each month.

And what if you’re just looking for a glass or two?

  1. Single Glass Decanter

When I was polling my staff for great wine tech, one shared that their family uses this single-use wine decanter almost every night. This decanter is beautifully designed to enrich the flavour of wine and allows you to pour one glass of wine, keeping the bottle fresh and looking great doing it.

  2. Rapid Beverage Chiller

What if you need cold wine ASAP? (This is totally as urgent as it sounds… 😉)

Don’t worry! The Rapid Beverage Chiller will come to your rescue! This tabletop wine chiller can chill a can in one minute or a whole bottle of wine in six minutes. For this particular style, just add ice and the beverage into the cooler, select the container setting, and let it do the rest. The process does not alter the wine’s properties like taste or composition. This gadget is the perfect gift for the wine lover who has everything (or so they think).

And is there any option if you don’t want to pour your own wine?

  1. Bot Handy

Well, we always like to have a little fun, so why not throw a robot into the mix? They’re not available yet, but it’s something to look forward to! Samsung has created a Robot Butler that can pour wine, help with dishes, and impress your guests by making your house look super techy and cool. Sign me up!

These are just five of the many cool tech options for wine lovers out there. If you’ve got one to add to the list or just want to chat more about this topic, let’s connect! But first, let’s raise a glass to all the cool wine tech. I hope you can find yourself the perfect tool to step up your wine game this holiday season!
